PII Center for Interfaith Affairs Organized an Thanksgiving Dinner

Peace Islands Institute Center for Interfaith Affairs organized an early Thanksgiving Dinner with the participation of guests from different spectrums. Being PII`s one of the most important social engagement level, Thanksgiving Dinners bring together people with various religious faiths together to promote the essence of living together by appreciating our differences. Among the notable participants were His Excellency Permanent Representative of Botswana Ambassador Charles Thembani Ntwaagae and Mrs. Elizabeth Ntwaagae.

The event started with guests sharing the Thanksgiving dinner while Mr. Ibrahim Sayar the Director of Center for Interfaith Affairs delivering his welcoming remarks. Mr. Sayar has put a great emphasis on the importance of living together in peace and harmony. He underlined that in today`s globalized world, differences in terms of religion and ethnicity should be appreciated as a form of asset that our society have and must be put forward to promote diversity. After Mr. Sayar concluded his remarks, he opened the floor for the insights of guests who actively contributed to the peaceful atmosphere of the dinner.
